    The second in-person wellness class, "Know Your Numbers and Why They Matter," is open for registration. This class will discuss cholesterol levels, healthy vs. unhealthy fats, blood sugar, blood pressure, BMI, and why it all matters in the first place.

  • Winter closure will be Dec. 24-Jan. 1

    The University of ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ observes a winter closure period. This academic year's winter closure will be Dec. 24, 2019, through Jan. 1, 2020. Additional soft closure days may be observed Dec. 18-23, 2019, and Jan. 2-3, 2020. Four days of the winter closure period are paid holidays: Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. Three days of the winter closure period -- Dec. 26, 27 and 30 -- are not paid holidays.

  • UA On-Site Biometric Screenings will be held in Fairbanks and Anchorage

    UA employees in Fairbanks and Anchorage will have an opportunity for on-site biometric screenings in early December. These screenings are available to all employees, spouses and financially interdependent partners who are enrolled in the UA Choice health plan.

    Sometimes being healthy isn’t about losing a bunch of weight or dropping 4 dress or pant sizes. Sometimes all we really need to do is just stay right where we are. That’s the goal of our Maintain Don't Gain Challenge! This is the favorite wellness challenge for UA health plan members. This six-week challenge will last from Thanksgiving through New Year’s – weigh in on November 20th and again on January 7th.

  • UA provides free travel, legal and legacy planning assistance as part of life insurance benefit

    UA employees have automatic access to a suite of additional resources from our friends at Securian Financial, the company that provides our life insurance benefit. UA employees covered under our group life insurance program can access these resources as needed. These include the opportunity to create a will, financial wellness resources and much more!
